Top-Line (Drop-Down) Menu: Printer
==================================
Install
-------
Here you can load the appropriate driver for your printer. Drivers
supplied are : Brother 24-pin, Epson FX (9-pin), Epson LQ (24-pin)
Hewlett-Packard Laserjet II, Epson LQ-A3, NEC P6 (24-pin), and the
Atari Laser. The port for all but Atari is normally "Parallel".
Printers emulating an Epson 850 run with the Epson LQ(550) driver.
Select your resolution; with bubblejets 180x180 may be best, to
avoid excessive inking. To change drivers click on "Load Driver".
Once setting is completed, a right-click exits the selector.
Part Only
----------
Lets you print a selected part of your picture. Left-click the
cross-cursor and pull the frame over the desired area, then left-
click again. If you opt to "CANCEL", then right-click to exit.
Print All
---------
Prints all of the picture currently visible on the screen.
2 Images
--------
'Double Page' when on (box black) lets you print two pictures one
above the other in permutations of the upper and lower numbered
boxes (or the same picture twice).
'View' shows one of the two screens selected; with a double page
you can scroll up and down the page by moving the mouse.
'Preview' shows how the layout of the whole printed sheet will
look (right-click to exit).
Moving the white Slider up or down changes which part of a double
image is on view. You can stop the Slider half-way and draw to
link two pictures into one double-screen image. This can be
printed out, or Saved with the "2 Pages" option in the 'Pic.Save'
control box (under the 'File' menu). It is saved in a special file
format, *.DA4, which can be loaded back into Paintshop as a Double
Page (select "2 Pages" when loading) and can also be entered into
the Archive (see under 'Image' menu).
'Cut Out' seems to screen-grab the image under the Slider, so the
top-menu and Icon-bar get included in the double page picture!
Switch 'Double Page' off until you actually need it - otherwise
keeping track of what picture is on which screen can get confusing
- with it on, if picture 1 is below picture 3 in the double page,
then the screen will show you the same image for both Pic.1 and
Pic.3...... which makes sense when you realise both are now part
of the same double-page image!
